Gito winery is a beautiful boutique winery that is run by the incomparable Malkiel Hadari. Malkiel has been making wines for decades now and not only produces wine under his own label but also consults with many other Israeli wineries looking to produce varietally true Israeli wine. Malkiel at Gito winery sticks to Mediterranean varieties in sticking with the concept that Israel's terroir and climate are reflective of a Mediterranean climate and hence the grapes that will grow best in Israeli are those of Mediterranean origin. His red wines are a blend of different varieties while his white wines center on the Chardonnay grape and using different oak for different amounts of time until the desired effect in the wine is produced.
